#9 – Sascha Böhm – Meet the expert – Behind the scenes of cerabone®

31m 7s

Dr. Sascha Böhm is the product manager of one of the most successful bone grafting materials in the world. In this podcast, he will give some rare insights into the scientific secrets behind the production process of cerabone®. Being a biologist, he will also explain the properties and reasons that lead to this biomaterial’s outstanding clinical performance, including its exceptional purity, ultimate stability and superior hydrophilicity.

#8 – Bernd Giesenhagen – Development of bone rings and his cooperation with botiss

#8 – Bernd Giesenhagen – Development of bone rings and his cooperation with botiss

20m 57s

This is the second episode of our podcast season on the development of maxgraft® bonering. Bernhard Giesenhagen is – together with Orcan Yüksel – the inventor of the allogenic Bone Ring Technique. They have developed a bone augmentation technique which allows implant placement and bone block augmentation in a single surgery.
Our colleague Nathalie Martin is talking with him about his long cooperation with botiss and how he came up with the idea of the technique. He has placed more than 1000 rings successfully and is eager to share his experiences with us.

#7 – Benno Buchbinder – Ensuring maximum biomaterials safety in times of Covid-19

#7 – Benno Buchbinder – Ensuring maximum biomaterials safety in times of Covid-19

17m 38s

Biomaterials safety has always been a point of strength of botiss biomaterials. With the global spread of Covid-19, the question of virus-deactivation has become even more relevant.

In this podcast Dr. Benno Buchbinder, Managing Director at botiss, will give an insight into the production processes of the different biomaterials that botiss offers. In particular, he will describe in detail how scientifically proven processing methods are used to achieve maximum safety in the products of the botiss portfolio.

#6 – Carlo de Annuntiis – The role of soft tissue management in implantology

#6 – Carlo de Annuntiis – The role of soft tissue management in implantology

43m 56s

While bone grafting has always been an important topic in implantology, the question of soft tissue management has gained particular attention in recent years.
In this podcast, Dr. Carlo de Annuntiis from Rome will share his experience and expertise in that field, describing how soft tissue augmentation has gained more and more importance in his everyday clinical work.
He will particularly focus on the use of mucoderm®as an atraumatic alternative for soft tissue thickening and reconstruction.

#4 – Orcan Yüksel – The Bone Ring Technique

#4 – Orcan Yüksel – The Bone Ring Technique

39m 13s

Dr. Orcan Yüksel is – together with Bernd Giesenhagen – the inventor of the allogenic Bone Ring Technique. They have developed an augmentation technique which allows bone transplantation and implant placement to be performed on large three-dimensional bone defects in a single surgery. Our colleague Nathalie Martin is talking with him about his long cooperation with botiss, the development of maxgraft® bonering and the technique itself. Orcan and Bernd have placed more than 1000 rings successfully – we are looking forward to Orcan sharing his experiences with us.

#3 – Piero Papi – How to become an international speaker

#3 – Piero Papi – How to become an international speaker

29m 46s

Dr. Piero Papi, one of the youngest researchers at La Sapienza University in Rome, Italy, has already published several papers on the topics of hard and soft tissue regeneration applying a diverse range of clinical techniques. He also lectured at numerous national and international congresses and events. In this podcast, Dr Papi shares with us some of the most interesting studies he has conducted as university researcher and his experience of becoming an international speaker for botiss biomaterials.

#2 – Alfonso Caiazzo – New approaches in socket preservation

#2 – Alfonso Caiazzo – New approaches in socket preservation

32m 29s

Dr. Caiazzo shares with us his solid clinical experience on the Buccal Plate Preservation (BPP) technique, which aims at preventing the eventuality of an unaesthetic outcome due to the resorption of the buccal plate. In addition, Dr. Caiazzo briefly discusses a new approach for regenerative orthodontics, based on the application of the application of bone grafting materials and combined with mucoderm®, which allows to expand the bony basis and the alveolar regeneration and to further increase the soft tissue profile.

#1 – Massimo Frosecchi – Biomaterials in immediacy

#1 – Massimo Frosecchi – Biomaterials in immediacy

44m 22s

Shorter treatment times and growing clinical and scientific evidence have made immediacy protocols increasingly popular in the past years.
In this podcast, Dr. Massimo Frosecchi shares with us his experience in the field of immediacy with particular attention to the choice of the right combination of biomaterials.
